  • Hey thanks! I do have a riser on this kit. I have trouble with the kit tipping already due to the riser and the various weights pushing on the drum from the various angles.

    Since this kit, I built a matching one but with a virgin bass drum and 12 and 14" toms... More of a standard sized bop kit.

  • Great looking and sounding kit. Be fun to build yourself a short stack kick for the days you're really lazy to schlepp a 14x16" kick or what-have-you but I guess you couldn't mount the two toms on the kick w/o it tipping the kick over. I take a 10x18" short stack kick to rehearsals and the odd gig with small stage.

    Curious if you've got a riser on the kick?
