Another turkish style squat toilet in a public bathroom in the french alps.
Looks more modern than the last one I saw, this is with a smaller hole, powerfull flush and Roca sink.
Sept 2010.

than you have to wipe them before putting the paper cover.

  • @xxxusa yep not keen on that idea at all to be honest.I like the toilets with the self cleaning seats, not saw them here yet :-)

  • I have to agree with sanders8323 . These toilets were very popular in Bulgaria in the '80 and still remain in use in some places, so I had personally used them many times, and I can tell you from hygiene point of view they are much better than the bowls. Now days the bowls have paper toilet cover for your personal protection ,which is so uncomfortable (at least to me because as soon as I sit on it my a** start sliding back and forward) not to mention that if the bowls are not well maintained

  • @xxxusa I agree with you on the hygeine point of view too! I wish we had a mixture of bowls and squats in the UK but sadly I cannot see it happening.Like you mention some of the bowls are not that nice either.

Ive saw the paper covers, but not used them, they very rare here.

  • ouhh, noooo. i hate this toilets. in turkey there were these toilets too, but no longer today.

  • @lamanido Seems the bowls are getting more popular now :-)
