We got a tip there was a strange military installation in Indiana so we decided to check it out. Take US Route 50 West one mile past Butlerville IN and take a right at the caution light. You'll immediately pass between two signs that say "SOUTHEAST PURDUE AGRICULTURE CENTER." Keep going straight and you'll enter the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC.) We didn't run into any security though it looks like a gate will be constructed at the entrance. There is nothing overtly secretive about this place as a fair amount about it is divulged on it's official website. http://www.mutc.in.ng.mil/ There is nothing strange about military training for urban combat since that is a fact of war. What is strange is that all of the architecture looks very American as if they are training for war with the American people.

What is MUTC?

Located in South Central Indiana's Jennings County near Butlerville, Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) is a secluded, self contained community, once home to the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. The 1,000 acre site was turned over to the Indiana National Guard in July of 2005 and since has been continually evolving into a full-immersion contemporary urban training environment.

Those utilizing MUTC have access to a 180 acre reservoir and urban infrastructure consisting of 68 major buildings including a school, hospital, dormitories, light industrial structures, single family type dwellings, a dining facility and administrative buildings totaling approximately 850,000 square feet of floor space. Additionally the training area includes an extensive underground utility tunnel system and over 9 miles of roads and streets.

MUTC is a consortium of governmental, public and private entities that are pooling their unique capabilities in order to provide the most realistic training experience possible. Training that can be tailored to replicate both foreign and domestic scenarios and that can be utilized by various civilian and military organizations.

In its first year of operation the facilities at MUTC have been utilized by over 16,000 people from military, government and private agencies and is continually expanding training capabilities for future needs.

"People have tried to explain this, but you can't really grasp the capability until you see it first hand, this is big...we are spending millions trying to build this, and you already have it in Indiana"
- Col. (P) Joe E. Rameriz, Deputy Commanding General,
CAC-T, US Army Training and Doctrine Command, 18 Aug, 2006

  • the buildings look american so they must be planning on invading america!!!! maybe the buildings look american... because they were built in america? you guys are fucking stupid, that place looks no different than any other post i've been on. And good luck when you have the feds knocking at your door, because posting this video is a pretty serious violation of operational security, and you are potentially putting the troops there at risk, so i'd recomend you take this down.

  • You scoff at the idea of this country entering a military police state and then say the feds might be coming after me for filming this military instillation. You can't have it both ways; we're either entering a military police state or we are not. I've personally witnessed military police being used domestically in northern Kentucky at Riverfest 08 which is a civilian event.

  • You guys are crazy. I was there in Jan. It's an old Indiana mental institution used by the Army for urban combat training for units going overseas, not for training for war with Americans like the description says. The helicopters are used for training scenarios like rescuing a downed crew. They also have CCTV and infra red cameras all over the place so we can critique ourselves, so I can guarantee that you were being watched on camera. The white RVs are FEMA trailers in case of a disaster.

  • Look at the list of those who benefit from using this facility. It's at the bottom of the description for this video, which by the way is copied directly from the front page of the MUTC official website. Most of those agencies are domestic and do not fight in foreign wars.

  • Your absoluty right We are training to take over the US and other areas. I am part of the military that works there and I am very concerned of the threat. The mission is called "Black Nest" and will begin if FOX projects that Obama is the winner of the 2012 election. At that time all pre staged explosives that exist on all major dams will be detonated. This will be the first show of force The second will be detaining all men who possess NFA stamps. I will have to clear all homes of people, Sorry

  • @ChangeOhio So I've talked to people that work there and it is currently used to train people going to Afghanistan. They have a mosque set up and are training people to understand the culture and be prepared for combat there. They have people from Afghanistan assisting in the training and there is nothing going on involving war in America.

  • I can't completely state the purpose, but those "American" structures was a part of a mental institution and hospital. In fact, I went with a group of students as a part of Purdue University's Computer Graphics Department to recreate the Muscatatuck area as a real-time virtual tour/walkthrough as it was when the site was operational for the visitors center. One of the reasons for this apart from the preservation of history was because the Army was in fact tearing down some of the structures

  • @israelritualpowers well judging by ur name we see here metrovideo is wrong in the sense its an old post used to store junk crap its not its an old mental institute which was abandoned then bought by the national guard and turned into an amazing training site to help both demestic and military forces the "warhead u guys saw there" is a training simulation for soldier to go :O omg !! they have weapons of mass destruction the helicopters dont have props theyre simulators !!! everything is

  • @EmelinaChaCha for what ? THE NEWS WAS THERE FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS before you guys judge a book by the cover read the pages will ya ? The helicopters are used to transport people so they learn how it feels to fly in one how to properly exit and board one oh and the buildings are from an old mental institute im a soldier and i was there for training it helped me alot ! and some of the things i learned there might save my family the trouble of seeing their son come home in a box. its open to u btw

  • @ceverest2 This is no OPSEC violations here and i agree with u on alot but the fact is that post is always open to civilians because there is "country roads" that go through there and these will no be closed untill a good bypass is constructed for the civilians so this post remains open for anybody who shall like to go visit =]

  • @2004peaceinchaos Its a urban contact enviorment the trailers are used to house the visiting people for training. "my unit built them." Also yes the war was suppose to be over just liek the thought the WW1 wasnt going to last that long and so on and on it will always continue why argue it ?.also they have nothing hide loo9k up muscatatuck unveiled episode 01 =] PS. its the army who posted it ! omg !

  • @DeficatingBum we are not perfect but trust me its open to public for a reason because we have nothing to hide. Its for urban combat trainig for over seas and abroad for local law enforcement and such. not to kill americans relax a little your going to be ok.

  • @ChangeOhio also good sir. Its a training enviorment disigned for training situation americas not perfect we wont always be sometimes there are druglords who u dont want in ur neighbor hood oh wait the fire departments train here to well by gollie ? u dont want them training. Look the military trains there for urban combat "overseas!!!" i can tell you this because i went there for that speciffic reason posting this video isnt a fraud of anything you have that right this is MUTC open to public

  • @ChangeOhio Change Im not here to tell you how the fbi blah blah blah is going to attack you the reason most of these buildings look "american" is because they are... and no we arnt going to attack "americans" The buildings your referring to are buildings that were used as schools and hospitals back when this was an inane asylum theres nothing suspicious going on here also the reason the list dipicts alot of "demestic" civil defense people is to TRAIN. american people have riots too ya know. Yes
