i am trying to publish with Authorhouse and so far its going pretty good.

There is a 2-month delay between the sale of books and the arrival of royalties-- makes it tougher to keep track of direct cause/effect. The other part of the problem is that royalties are awarded when the books are printed, not necessarily when they're sold. Again, makes it tougher to keep track.
To my knowledge, there has been no problem with my royalties. Authors complain about this problem regardless of publisher. I sell lots of books myself--no royalties there.

I'm glad to hear you've had a positive experiance with AH. I was considering publishing a book through them, but have heard so many negative things. It's hard to tell if these are disgruntled individuals or if their complaints are legitimate. If you do not mind, could you please tell us how many copies your book has sold, and if you have ever had a problem with royalties? Thank you.

Hmmm...well, anyone can get sued. The nature of indie publishing leaves a company open to difficulties like this, and I'm sure AH has learned from the experience. The lawsuit, in my mind, is of no significance--I have published a successful series with AH, and the experience has been very positive. They did exactly as I asked, and I had very few complaints along the way. I had other choices, but I'm happy with the choice I made. Authors have different needs--do your homework, and then decide.

I don't know what makes you so stupid, but it really works! There is no vaccine against stupidity. Have you considered suing your brains for non-support?

If you don't know by now, AuthorHouse lost a libel suit in court. It seems that the courts and jury decided that a publisher couldn't disavow itself of what it published. In other words, AuthorHouse should have vetted what it accepted before publishing. Now they owe several hundred thousand dollars and may have to pay even more in punitive damages.
