This is my transcription for organ of Scarlatti's very famous D Major Clavier Sonata. You are watching a screen video capture of my live performance as played through InspiredAcoustic.com's PSZ Baroque virtual pipe organ. These are high quality samples of the 1778 Pazicky organ of R.C. St. Imre Church in Pusztaszabolcs, Hungary. Interested viewers are encouraged to visit www.contrebombarde.com and www.inspiredacoustics.com to hear and see more of these amazing virtual pipe organs. Cheers, Joe -- jcfelice88keys

  • I'm sometimes seeing two notes on the pedals when there's just one note in the music. For example, at 1:27, the music has an A, and both the G-sharp and A pedals are pressed. Is this to get a special effect (in which case, is there a name for this technique)? Or just a mistake?

  • @smalin

You are very observant about seeing the apparent G# and A pedals being played simultaneously. The G# corresponds to the regular E pedal -- the pedalboard "looks" like C then FGA. The E pedal is where G# usually is.

    Cheers,

    Joe
