@mrfrogbutt1 - Amazingly Chuck (Bayonne Bleeder) Wepner sued Silvester Stallone using a similar argument & he was reportedly awarded millions. These courts are so friggin unfair & inconsistent in the application of their rules & the law. Clearly, Miss Nurmi was correct - she produced evidence that she & Miss Peterson met to discuss the creation of a new TV likeness of the earlier character. When the discussions failed, Elvira was created without proper authorization.

All videos like this are worthless with a huge ugly logo hanging over the top of it, crushing out all possible enjoyment. Estate PR guys are fools to think that any fan would sit still for such money-grubbing nonsense - these are supposed to be videos, not distracting billboards.

@aholmes99 VAMPIRA Maila Nurmi NEVER LIVED IN NEW YORK KID! Sorry! She lived in California all her remaining life until death...very poorly too. Yes, she sued Cassandra Peterson for the similarities between Elvira and Vampira which there are many. the judge threw the case out...

As a kid, I used to see Vampira on the Central Park West Bus in New York. She was always dressed in black. .And yes she really had a 18 inch waist. Or so it appeared! Kids would walk to the back of the bus and ask her "Hey lady are you Vampira"? And she would smile this mysterious, smug smile (not showing her teeth). In later years, I would see her still dressed in all black walking around 72nd Street East and 3rd Avenue in New York. Way creepy! But lots of fun! I understand Elvira got sued!
