Blacks a fake first interdominion win in Hobart Tasmania

The Grand Final raced over 2579 metres turned out to be a tough and speedy event. The last mile (1609 metres) was run in 1:57.9, and the last half in 56.7 with Blacks A Fake holding on with a last quarter in 27.9 to beat Karloo Mick and Slipnslide for the $900,000 first prizemoney. His driver Natalie Rasmussen became the first female driver to win the Inter Dominion Grand Final.

I wonder what price you would have got had you asked for 4 final wins plus a second? The crazy thing is... 5 wins is not out of the question going on his authoitative win in the Gold Coast Cup last week. Aside from the NZ invaders, Mr Feelgood and Imthemightyquinn there's nothing that looks like upsetting the apple cart.

I see he was suffering from heart arrythmis after his run at Albion Park last night. Let's just hope it's only a temporary set-back. He a shame to lose him to retirement already. He's without doubt the best standard-bred that I've ever seen.
