Ferrari Enzo & Porsche Carrera GT test drive with Panasonic DMC-GF1

Got a once in a lifetime chance to ride in a Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT recently. The owners were kind enough to even let my kids sit in the cars.

I shot the videos with my Panasonic DMC-GF1 digital camera. I used the 20 mm pancake lens for all of the still shots and the 14-45 mm image stabilized lens for the in car ones. Even with the IS it was hard to hold the camera still.

Check out the last few clips of the Carrera GT. The shots from above the windscreen really give a neat perspective.

@muffinmanx99 The Carrera GT was really cool because it is an open top and the driver was handling it very well. However, there is nothing quite like the Enzo. Its acceleration was just instantaneous. If I had to drive the car every day the Porsche would be the only option. I got a workout just trying to hold the camera still in the Enzo. However, for 30 minutes of pure exhilaration there is nothing that can compare to the Enzo.

Get this ... a $ 1 M sports car with a stupid wind shield wiper in the middle of your view.  Glad to see my VW does a better job on that one - although it get's smoked on all other fronts ...

Nice! i have also seen an enzo. they are truly something special. it has such presence. the porsche just doesnt compare. Truly an engineering achievement. congratulations man. Thanks for the vid. Ill never forget this car, and what it stands for.
