@ccaruso81 I'm torn..Lilia standing up wasnt gonna be outdone..Simona has some of the best tumbling til this day, but Dawes was a better overall package of tumbling and dance..

@kikicreamify Well, I must say she got her respect in general..you cant deny the power and pure athleticism that she brought to the table, but she was always dragged through the mud because she didn't have the ballet body. She had her gold shots, which Im sure were partially tainted mentally by the fact that she didnt realize what she had due to all of the negative shots she took for her anatomy..but race only played so much. Still 1 of the 10 most successful US gymansts. Go Dawes!

THIS IS THE BEST FEMALE USA GYMNIST EVER. I REMEMBER WATCHING HER AS A KID AND BEING BLOWN AWAY AND ALWAYS WONDERING WHY HER SCORES WERE ALWAYS LOW. NOW THAT I'M OLDER I ATTRIBUTE IT TO RACE, PROBABLY RACISM BY JUDGES. SHE WAS AMAZING, COMPELTELY UNDERRATED LIKE SOMEONE ELSE SAID!
