Convincing superstitious, uneducated villagers to interpret an ancient, superstitious commandment, "Thou shalt not suffer witches to live," both has, and does, result in them killing innocent people by accusing them of being witches. It happens regularly in Africa, as it also happened in the village where it was encouraged by Muthee. The Muthee's of this world sleep well at night, and believe they've done what their insane version of god commands.
