super chet

First take at my new, ('78), Gretsch Super Chet. Never, never I had such a beautiful guitar. The sound, mmmmmmmmmmmmm !!! But also the looks !
A lot of inlays in the head and neck. Al volume and tone controls are
placed at the pickguard. It is a beauty !!

what kind of pickups are on the guitar.?

@ibanezts9 , I do not know. I know that the sound is a litlle more brighter and with a litlle bit more punch then the regular Gretsch guitars, but I am not sure it is cauzed by the pick ups. There is a big piece of wood under the bridge, and I think this is the thing. if you are interested; the guitar is for sale at this moment for €2750,-

To, for me it is the first time I realy am in love with an electric guitar. I am a big fan of Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins. Find one yourselve, it is realy the best sounding, (and looking), guitar I ever heared.

Amplitube 2, it's a software amplifier. But the thing which makes the sound so special is the Gretsch ! Thanks for listening and responding.

I found 79 model under a bed in Georgia. It was purchased in 1980, played for 3 years then the owner passed away and the intrument was stored under the bed in the case for the next 26 years, never opened unitl I found it.

It is dark walnut, a real beauty. I showed it to Doyle Dykes, he was really impressed.

Can you please tell us how you get that great sound? I know that a large part of it is the Super Chet, but It also sounds like a little bit of reverb, delay and compression. Is this correct and what effects equipment are you using?

I too, own a Super Chet. Truly and amazing guitar. I'm just now getting back to playing, after years of absence. Put up my first video (with the Super Chet). I hope that I can keep going. Thanks for the inspiration!
