@pichonova Isn't the Chopin competition all Chopin music? This is a Beethoven Sonata. I don't think she' even allowed to play that.

This is a fast tempo. But the line is there and it is not flippant . Every measure shaped and nuanced .she has def thought about this music and those wrists could crush bone . Someone commented on her distinct rhythms .YES. And it all grows and feels as one she has had superior interpretative training. The Motif is always around she is so VERY AWARE of it all . Listen again.

@sexysnake44 This was during the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005, in which she was a finalist.

Enviable technical facility (you should hear this girl WHIZ through the most challenging Chopin Etudes!), but the tone is a little on the dull side. It doesn't really SING, and unfortunately while the playing, itself, is admirable, I don't get the feeling that the music MEANS very much to her personally.
Her tempo is a little brisk, which makes it sound almost flippant --- not what Beethoven had in mind, I'm sure.

where is this preformed ???
Bravo!!! Putting this sonata together, with all of its diverse material is quite difficult. This young pianist has a free and fluent approach - rhythmically exciting as well. Had me on the edge of my seat...
