Filipino composer Buencamino utilized the Filipino folksong "condansoy" as the main theme for this piece. Interesting is the sonic depiction of a volcanic eruption (2:25) perhaps of Mayon volcano, reputed ot be the world's most perfect cone shaped volcano. I love the way Enzo pours his energy and his whole self into this portion .... hope you agree.
THANKS FOR LISTENING AND WATCHING.

This was part of a presentation at the University of the Philippines titled " Music of Philippine Nationhood" .... all original Filipino compositions, including voice, dance and other musical instruments which gave an overview of the development of music in this part of the world.

  • A super performance of an interesting piece. I had never heard of this or the composer before. Enzo is a very talented young man.

  • Wow...brilliante!!! I was unfamiliar with this composer until now but have since learned that he has written many wonderful works for piano. I would really like to learn this piece.

  • The style has a Franz Lizt and Chopin touch, well interpreted by Enzo. You now owns this piece and the whole world will recognize the origin of this piano music.

Hope Enzo is not pressured regarding his School, piano practice and his plan to come to the US, and also playing games at school.

  • When will he visit the US to play for the many FiIipino-Americans there? When he does, please give advanced notice, OK?

  • Wonderful music making!

  • Oh, that's why the melody sounds familiar... We used to dance to the music of "Condansoy" in the 70s and 80s in grade school and HS. My first time to hear it like this. Very nice!
