We got away from the city and headed off to the mountain for a few hours to take in the maples. The kids loved it. Reminded me how liberating the mountains are. Mari said that this video is a little bit deceptive because we seem like a serene family when in truth we are far more tacky and silly. That's true, but the mountains bought out a little something else in us that day...The music is by an Estonian guy called Kago, aka Lauri Sommer. He's awesome. You can check out some of his music at...http://www.fat-cat.co.uk/demo/artist.php?id=102
Mind telling me what Goukei means, does it mean mountain or is it the name of the place you're it? It's beautiful!

Goukei is a place in Okayama in west Japan. 'Gou' means brave or great and 'kei' means gorge, so it means Beautiful Gorge. It really is an awe-inspiring place. My mother came to Japan this autumn and I was really happy I could take her there with the kids.
Not sure whether to edit the footage I took this year and make another movie...somethings are probably better left just as they are...
Thanks for the comment.
