  • My uncle served in that regiment. At least I think I have my facts straight. I sure remember him talking about the Philippines and Japan. I will double-check to make sure we are talking about same regiment and will try to contact him to look at your tribute. It is beautiful by the way. I can't wait to talk to him about your tribute. Very nicely done!

  • @azzofly31 Hi this is Dan. Just happened 2 see your comment. Have not been on 4 a while. Thanks im glad you liked it and it came out great! Here is my email danrace@yahoo.com let me know if ypur uncle was in the regiment. All the Best!

  • @danrace62 Hi Dan, I was able to talk to my uncle and he was in the First Cavalry 12th Regiment. He did not know John though or could not recall having met him. It sounds like the regiment was spread around, but my uncles stories about where he has been and what he has seen will stay with me.

Unfortunately, my uncle just past away Thursday night. I'm empathizing with your loss more now. My uncle was loved by many and will be missed by us all.

  • @azzofly31 Hi this is Dan. My deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss. Lost a great man and a hero 2 all of us who understand the sacrifices John and your uncle made for us 2 live in freedom!
