Most PC malware infections are due to people not having the sense to browse safely, or to realize that they are not a nigerian prince.

All embedded Flash videos can be stopped by Flashblock. Flashblock prevents Flash from running without explicit permission, that's the point.

And yes, that is true. But that's a security issue with Flash, not Windows. The same exploits could be used on OS X to spread malware. Thus one of the main reasons Apple doesn't want it on iOS devices. It's got enough market share to be a target.

@manjyoumethunder 2 years ago you'd have been right. Not anymore. Embedded flash videos, not all of which can be stopped by Flashblock can now carry malware. The weirdo one where Firefox redirects all Google results to alternate sites has strong anecdotal evidence that it's not attached to any downloadable. I have a system with all the geek tools (I work in IT security) and I even get those bugs on occasion. The diff in my PC; they are always easier to remove by virtue of my systems defenses.

If you are a nerd who loves music or school, buy a MAC, if you like playing games, and have spare time to run a fucking virus program, buy a fucking PC...PC users FTW!
