  • What kind of Nimh are you using? RC type or bigger? I thought RC type Nimh can't pump out enough amps to push a bike unless maybe you have many in parallel?

    Just curious.

  • @oryangub This goes back to 2007, but they were Nexcell nimh D cells good for 20 amps max so the 40 amp controller used with the X5 would overload the pack, perfectly ok for bench testing however. All lithium nowadays ! latest thing is Turnigy 5ah Lipo packs that have no problem with 40 + amps !

  • why not put magnets in the rim, coils in the fork, and go that way? (I know this is not homemade.. but just thinking..)

  • @NickBlackDIN Because metal road debris would get all up in your wheel and ruin your day !

  • Nice. Do you know how fast a bike can with a 48V 500W hub?

  • @tjeerdgibson A 500w ebike will give you 20mph / 32 kph usually, but it depends on how you rate that 500w. Peak 500w vs 500w constant are 2 different things. some " 500w " kits really peak out at 1000w vs some smaller 250w kits that peak at 500w.

  • @maria

I had a BUSETTII bike too. It is awesome!!!

  • @maria271011 I wonder how this would compare to a Busettii VORTEX Electric bike ? They run 80 miles on a charge and weigh about 55 lbs. so that seems like its better. I see them at busettii.com web page. Any one ever rode a Busettii ?? Rainbow

  • I have a Busettii Electric Bike and I love it ,Ride it everyday ! I wanna try the new vortex bike too!

  • se puede adaptar esa maza a una rueda de moto ????

  • @Ypedal Then enclose it

  • @Ypedal , good comeback. apparently some people don't think ahead.

  • i would never put 10kg hub on front wheel

  • Sounds like you have some grinding drag going on there. I had to modify mine so the frame wouldn't produce any drag. I shouldn't have to tell you why you don't want any drag on an electric motor.
