A photo slideshow I created of Roberto Benigni's 2002 live action version of Pinocchio. BTW, Benigni DID NOT want Pinocchio to be dubbed over at all. DO NOT watch the overdubbed version of this film- IT SUCKS!! Watch the movie in Italian, it's far better! It says created by psrdfan at the end- but that's my LiveVideo username

  • Pinocchio is a fable written by Collodi in the Italian Risorgimento. This is Italian literature! Comencini's film of 1972 is the closest to the original!

  • @MultiCampioni I have a copy of Pinocchio with the original Collodi text, but with really beautiful illustrations by Greg Hildebrandt.

  • I'd like to know what music track this is, maybe from the soundtrack?

  • @derBene It's from the Audio Swap selection, because WMG claimed the original song that I used.

  • @PrettyBlueFairy Are you sure? Doesn't AudioSwap show a notice if the track is exchanged? This melancholic track also fits good, in my opinion so I wondered if it's the original and just changed in your region. And thanks for answering. :)

  • @derBene I'm not sure if they say anything about music change, but they do leave a notice about copyright claims on YouTube videos

  • If you can, would you or someone who has the movie, please post the scene where Pinocchio and his friend become donkeys? Either the dubbed version or not, it doesn't matter. Thank you.

  • Does anyone have it in Engilsh and a clip?

  • I recently saw this movie with English overdub. I prefer reading subtitles but found I was able to get engrossed in the film nonetheless and was laughing outloud because of the actor who played Pinocchio. He was priceless! I thought the same thing at first, "An adult playing Pinocchio?!" but he was perfect... Like Will Ferrell in "Elf" and Tom Hanks in "Big"--- totally captured the spirit of a child. This presentation of Pinocchio left a bigger impression on me than Disney's... life lessons:)

  • When people talk abotu Pinocchio, ironically they almost NEVER talk about or refer back to the original Collodi story. Having seen several film and musical adaptations of Pinocchio, along with this, I can safely say that it's one of the closest film adaptations out there. The dub is mediocre, I will admit, and I think if people go in not having read the original story, it might throw a few people off, but all in all, I thought it was a charming little movie. (and yes, I am well aware of the fact

  • The only reason why this movie is underrated is because decided to play Pinoccio's role himself, and that's IT!!! The whole movie is a masterpiece.

  • This movie sucks ass. Horrible english dubbing, too much cheese, and it makes no sense for an adult to play as pinocchio
