The metaphors used by Tagore in describing the daily sunrise is simply fabulous! I have tried to stay close to them as much as possible. One puzzling observation: Tagore had assigned a feminine gender (birahini) to the Sun whereas, most ancient Indian manuscripts address the Sun as "Surya Dev", i.e. masculine.

Another interesting factoid... While searching for a suitable translation for "maya" (commonly used term being "illusion") I learnt etymologically that "maya" was adopted from Sanskrit by the Persian Avestan as "mayu", which later crept into Greek as "magus" and finally became "magic" in English.
