I simply love this song, it´s fantastic! But I find it hard to really fundamentally understand what it is about...what is its message?

I could listen to this for hours. What a beautiful song, what a fantastic performance. I simply love his high key voice back then. That falsetto is from another world.

Pity the poor bigots that don't pay attention to this wonderful music just because they can't ''quit their redneck ways''.

It's a shame that he can't hit those high notes anymore, especially in this song. After his surgeries on his throat and chords, he just can't do it anymore.
