  • Hmm, all of the cuts in employment came from US based support. None of the overseas support was cut and as a matter of fact a new call center was assigned Intuit calls to the Philippines. Some one has been drinking the special Kool-aid again.

  • Excellent talk by Brad Smith. I'm very impressed.

  • It is sad that good support people were hurt by User Generated Unemployment at Intuit. It also was sad when small-scale farmers were hurt, but users may soon improve support at many companies. Intuit uses many in-program, in-context, links, to related Wiki-enabled user-to-user forums. Some of the 7 million TurboTax users answered 40% of questions faster than support personnel, while tending to give better answers. That let Intuit cut 7%of employees, while improving support, at almost no cost.
