@LondonIsMyManor Old post but it still annoyed me. Speaking as a Brit, while, yes, it's irritating when some Americans seem to think that they 'won' the war singlehandedly, we would have been up shit street without them. We were by no means 'cleaning up to claim glory', whatever that means, because there's no glory in war, Christ! The USSR's decisive contribution is often forgotten. The ALLIES won the war, not any one country. Stupid insults don't help your case, they just make you look stupid.

I don't know how Reggie Kray ended up with Frances. Most women who are with men like him are not naive to what is going on. These guys were hardcore gangsters. I find it hard to believe that Frances didn't have a clue to what her husband and brother-in- law were all aobut. I don't know what would make France think that just whinning about what Reg was doing was going to make him change. And it was obvious based on this film that the entire Kray family knew what was up with them.

Why so little sympathy for Francis? She's married to a sadistic crook who who controls her every move and won't even let her do a little thing like shop for her own clothes,and mistakes smothering for caretaking. Then he tells her who she can be friends with. She had a breakdown and commits suicide. No surprise there. Poor kid.
