Apple's new multimedia cell phone is becoming a musical instrument. Aside from being an excellent multimedia telephone, few may know that the iPhone, one of the most fashionable new technological gadgets on the market, is equipped with a variety of sounds and musical instrument mixes that rivals even the most sophisticated synthesizers. Inspired by this, the pianist-composer Teo Ciavarella proposes the first-ever "Concert for iPhone," with additional musical accompaniment on piano, soprano sax , double bass and percussion and voice . In this live performance, the iPhone interacts with the other instruments, creating a sophisticated atmosphere where electronic music is blended with the world of jazz improvisation.
