An IL-76MD from the Indian Air Force arrives at Nellis probably to drop off some crew/equipment for the next Red Flag 08-4? Its going back to Mountain Home AFB and will return sometime this week.

  • Man, that's a great plane. I flew in one from Baghdad to Thessaloniki once. The view from the navigator's station is the best in the world. I was dying to sit in the tail gunners roost, but the part between there and the cargo bay isn't pressurized, so if you sit there, you have to sit there the whole flight. No thanks. Up front is better.

  • I live in Pune just next to Air Force base which has 23+15 Su-30MKI, 8-Jaguars,2-Antonov-32 and 2-IL76 based in it..I see them flying over my house everyday...I am Lucky..

  • oops correction, Its C-130 that is Fat Albert or Hercules.
