This Georgia award winning Kitchen uses 2 TV Lifts back to back to lift 2 TV's from a custom cabinet. This allows the TV to be watched from the Kitchen side and the living room side. The top of the cabinet uses granite and the the size is 42" each. They both operate from 1 remote control and can control the TV's either together or independently. Both TV's are hooked up to 1 PVR so they both play the same show. The clever part is that the Grannite tops are floating using strong magnets, this is so that if a child decide to place their hand in the opening when the TV if lowering then it wont chop their hands off. This was a simple method to employ because the top of the TV lift is metal, and the inside of the Grannite lid is wood so the owners simply drilled out space for a few magnets and just epoxied them into place. The bottom edge of the granite lid was also beveled so that the lid auto aligns as its closing.
