In a break from his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, Paul took to the House floor to speak out against the NDAA's Section 1021, which allows the government to detain without trial individuals who have "substantially supported al Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States." Paul and other opponents of the section's language fear that the legislation could lead to Americans being detained without due process.

This is inhuman if you did this in Europe you would be kicked out of office and arrested for breach of human rights.
America how can you criticize another countries human right when you got a bill like this.

@delreydavid He voted no on May 26th. He gave his semi-famous 'The Last Nail' speech the day before. That's not exactly "keeping mum" about it. He was the first to seriously object to the bill, in all its forms. He voted against the bill that they tried to "fix". You can keep trying to spin it like he doesn't object to it, but you're wrong.

@RobertDoosh Introducing a bill, like the overwhelming majority off legislature that Ron Paul has written, it is meaningless and will never even make it to the floor. For as long as he has been on the govt payroll, he has introduced 400 something bills in congress and has had 400 something not make the floor. there are a few in there that did make the floor, but never enacted into law. This "bill' is grandstanding too little to late, but for the Rongoloids it is Gold. whatever.
