I love the performance keria knightly and ralph fiennes give and has anyone apart from me noticed but mr fiennes always seems to play the heartless guy to somebody and only soft to one person.

Well, there are some parallels between Princess Diana and the Duchess, but not as striking as the film producers would wish for reasons of publicity. I have read the (highly recommending!) biography about the Duchess o. Devonshire from Amanda Foreman and when you read it properly you will see that the 2 women are very different kind of characters imo.

But, as I said before, there are of course, certain similarities having to do with the very high profiled and public roles both D. and G. played
