GOT WHAT YOU NEED TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL

@MikaMouseDunlap .. Now where exactly did you read a judgement in my commentary? I made the simple observation based on scriptural exegesis that the preacher (who he is is not important) is in error by saying that Matthias wasn't one of Jesus' followers. The scripture says that he was. Is this a judgement or merely observation? Doesn't matter who they are, preachers (including myself) are responsible to provide scriptural accuracy and hermeneutical integrity. Why defend them when they don't?

@mufasa3500 I think what the Bishop is alluding to is that Matthias is someone WE have never heard of prior to his promotion. If you heard this entire sermon, you'd understand the hermeneutics behind it. He began his sermon with the exegesis of the text and concluded with an eisegetic look into the text which embraces the hermeneutical question: What does the text say to us today? I really wish that folk would stop judging sound bytes.

Not what the text says preacher. Check it out: Acts 1:21-23 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection." 23 So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Not exegetically correct my brother.. these men were with them from Jesus
