  • While I understand the purpose of this drill. If a person is constantly going back to index between shots might that be detrimental as far as for self defense purposes? Such things like muslce memory and such. Thanks for the videos... I did buy your Handgun Basics DVD's and look forward to the Home Defense ones.

  • @mva1985 This exercise is not meant to be done once you figure out what you are doing wrong. Going to index every time will show you what you are doing wrong from the starting point. A lot of people slap the trigger when starting in index but they will never know if they don’t start from index every time. This drill should be done VERY slowly in order to see what is happening with trigger finger placement, trigger pull, etc.
