In celebration of the fact that the modern form of the typewriter was invented in Milwaukee, this temporary public art piece transforms an empty storefront into a typewriter store from 1950. In the Spring of 2007, this piece was part of a series of projects organized by IN:SITE (and Gateway Business Improvement District in collaboration with the North Avenue Community Development Corporation). The piece was located at 3712 W. North Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The work was installed in May and will be removed in May of 2007. This video is part of a 10 clip series produced by Sanvick/Rovetto for MATA Education Project.
