Note the driver is too my left as I stop in the traffic. My indication around the bus wasn't as strong as it could be, but not a major factor in this. Perhaps a stronger position after the bus could have dissuaded her from overtaking but as it was, my position was pretty strong for the road ahead (it got narrower as she tried to pass).
The first I actually knew of her was due to a yelp from the guy behind, she was literally cm's aware from his handlebars. And for what? She would have got caught in traffic at the lights, even after that she didn't overtake me until over a mile down the road, even then she didn't stay ahead as she got caught in more traffic.

...and by "squashed" I mean caught between my car and the parked car, no critical injuries.

Although I had to pursue the second one through the courts and get an "attachment to earnings" to pay for respray of bumper and bonnet (£1,400). Sadly, until the end he could not understand why he was responsible.

Cool story bro. I've had several cars hit because the drivers are blind. I took them to court and got damage costs back.

... that would be illegal undertaking.

Of course none of this detracts from the stupidity and hesitancy of the Corsa's move. Too close, too slow.

Cyclists are allowed to filter, be that on the left or on the right hand side. Nothing illegal about the actions of the cyclists in this video.

The reason she's trying to overtake despite the traffic queue ahead, is lack of anticipation; most drivers simply don't scan effectively up the road for hazards & respond to them.

I would try to let cars I've blocked through at convenient moment, to avoid pent up frustration.

Good: financial responsibility is a cornerstone of order on the roads. If you break/scratch/dent it, you fix it.

For (most) car drivers, insurance means this is a given, but it surprises me how rare having cycle insurance is. The guy in my story (2010) had as his main point that £1400 was more than a month's wages. I think it's easy for cyclists to ignore the potential £ costs of clashing with cars.

Cyclegaz: absolutely right, not in this video because you (plus others) left-filtered past stationary vehicles.

My understanding is that if vehicles are in motion, that same manoeuvre ("left-side filter") becomes illegal undertaking.

That being said, it's not really any concern until I have to swerve to avoid something, or we encounter parked cars and the cyclist has to rejoin moving traffic. Iv sadly squashed 2 cyclists in these circumstances and each time have been cleared at the scene.

Offshore171 & Psteverific: EXACTLY!!!! Re cyclists close-passing cars. This tells drivers: "i am comfortable being this close to you".

Also the filtering at the end of the vid: all done in the "super-dangerous" door zone. Which then leads drivers to question the validity of the door zone argument.

Also: as a driver I also have the right to avoid debris, broken glass, puddles, pot-holes, sunken drains. If i am in motion, i am entitled to presume that no cyclist is left-side filtering, because
