google "backlightmpc 3000" and go to the first site called mpc stuff.

i'd call Akai and order a new display. unless the powers out that supply the pins on the backlight, that should fix it.

I replaced my backlight and the backlight on the mpc 60,it is dog dirt easy.just buy it off ebay for 29 bucks,take your screen assembly out,un solder the 2 leads,slide the old one out,slide the new one in solder the leads and your done son!
