There must be a reason why Akhenaten was not mentioned in any record. Was it only because he wanted to go against his people's belief in worship only one god?
Akhenaton was Moses in the Bible. That's why he wasn't in the family portrait. He's not part of the family. He was found on the river by the pharaoh's wife. He must have done something extraordinary (like Moses did in the Bible) that some egyptians followed him, built a new capital and worshipped one god for 20 years.
I saw no proof that he was rejected as a boy. As he tried contra religious freedom, so after his death his statues were tried made to ZERO: Might after his death been his statue removed from the family statues. Also not that much data might be left about him. Maybe the film talker talks more his guesses, than actually facts?
There's nothing to offer in this documentary? I've never seen another documentary about Akhenaten that even mentioned any details about his childhood.
I was just voicing my reaction to suffering through this garbage can full of shit paste hoping for a gem to appear somewhere. Spoil Alert THERE AREN'T ANY.
@N00bcrunch3r Look. My basic answer is this: I've read a lot about Akhenaten. His story is fascinating and there are many scholars who offer brilliant and revealing, detailed viewpoints on the subject. None of which are even hinted at in this documentary. This documentary sucks because its watered down, intellectually empty, repetitive shit. I can't imagine anyone who's deeply interested in Ahkenaten would be stimulated by this doc.
Moses was more around the time of one of the thutmoses , I think the 3rd?

2:58 And coincidentally, Ancient Astronaut Theorists have taken this literally!

@grahanika
Moses, if he ever existed at all, is estimated to have been born somewhere between 1500 and 1200 BC.
