"MMI transit" by John Sanborn is one part of a feature film called MMI (61:00, created in 2002) about my life in New York during 2001 and all the odd and awkward things that can happen in one year. "MMI transit" tracks the impressions of changing my home town from Berkeley, CA to New York City, where I once lived and thrived. When you leave your home for a new place, what do you gain and what do you give up?
