Pussy Riot's gig at Christ the Saviour took place on 21 February. Five members broke into the Moscow cathedral, performing a "punk prayer" from the altar. Their song "Holy Shit" is a condemnation of the Russian Orthodox church's close ties to Putin. "Holy Mother, Blessed Virgin," they sang, "chase Putin out!" Three of them have been arrested for hooliganism and they could face up to seven years in jail.

The point is that it wasn't a serious offense, so to act like Putin did shows the old Russian communist way of non-democratic tyranny. Russia should know better by now. The old way was evil, killing tens of millions of their own people. Be a democracy, not a totalitarian state. Make the change. Quit being barbarian.

You probably don't know, but these girls did that in the temple 2-3 times, that was the main church where they were caught, they were cursing Putin with most rude words, I am not against cursing this way, but not in the church in some devil masks. Such attitude cannot be tolerated. They got what they deserved. I am atheist myself, i don't give a shit about jesus and other homies from the bible, but I understand the feelings of those who believe. I m glad Russian judge had the balls to jail them.
