I've liked U2's music for a while now, but after listening to this, I wish I had more opportunities to listen to Bono talk about his views on God. His theology is closer to Christ's than 95% of "Christian" musicians. He reminds me a bit of the late Rich Mullins.
MLK was not just black, he was a Christian and therefore my brother.
@98nafets where was the church during apartheid why didn't the church stands against segregation in America. the black had to struggle and die where was the church during the holocaust. the church is not doing enough!
@TheCannonofMohammed Condoms can break. Or they can get a slight scratch or the tiniest nick can allow bodily fluids to pass through and transmit STDs and HIV.
@trightwingconspiracy / He is actually responding correctly. The church has on many occassions in history been slothful in responding to civil horrors. I love the church and I'm not saying Bono is theologicly spot on but I do feel like he is addressing the questions correctly and even responding throught the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The bottom line is this: if drug addicts would used fresh needles and the non-monogamous "sexually active" would use condoms, aids would not exist. Simple behavioural changes. Period. Any money going to aids should be diverted to child vaccinations and child-hood diseases, especially in Africa (like River Blindness). Of course we want people to enjoy sex without condoms, but take care of the children FIRST!
@jamiejetsonmusic none of the money we have is ours...its all Gods. we should use it for his glory. when he said ''God isnt short of cash'' he meant that we are rich in Christ. nothing to do with money.

The Church has been behind on these issues? Christians are the ones at the forefront in fighting poverty, sex trafficking, child abuse, etc.
