Johnny may not be THE best guitar player in the world, but he's on the Christmas card list of the best! Rolling Stone magazine doesn't have the balls to include him in their top 100 greatest guitar players yet they include Willie Nelson and John Lennon and Joan Baez? Willie IS pretty good, but even he'll admit, not in the class of Johnny. I believe Hiland can play circles around at least 80 of the top 100 they have listed. The other 20 are good enough to be there.

Some people only run their mouths on here to get people to come over and watch the crappy videos. i took a masters lesson from Johnny Hiland a few years ago and he plays over 20 instruments better on his worse day than anything you will ever do on you best MrLongtimegone!! When you have proof people like Ricky Skaggs call you a prodigy and a freak of nature when it comes to playing please come back and run your mouth again! Johnny Hiland is a great player and great person...... DOUCHE!!!!!

@MrLongtimegone I believe if you had guitar chops to rival either of these men you would not be posting stupid shit to others videos but rather posting videos of YOU playing guitar as well as the two guys here. Instead of rattling on about who you've played with, show us video proof. Until I see MrLongtimegone playing guitar, I figure you're just another poser. Prove me wrong, I dare ya. I know very, VERY good guitar players. NONE of them brag about how good they are. They don't have to.
