Just me playing some blues. Again, I do this all the time. I load up a drum sample into Reaper and lay down a quick rhythm guitar track, and then solo until I get bored, which tends to be 1-2 hours.
This wasn't the best take, but it's the only one I have a video of. Again, if I was recording this for "real music", I'd record a bunch of tracks and then pick the best take, or even use parts of two takes. ie: Cheat like everyone else does :-)
Again, I think it is important keep your improvisation skills up to standard by constantly practicing. To me, the key thing to playing guitar is to know what a lick will sound like before you play it. i.e.: Kind of like, thinking about what you say, before you say it.
To me, that's the goal of playing guitar. Only then can you really express yourself. Put it this way, if you don't know what the guitar will sound like until after you played a lick, then do you really control what you are saying?
Anyway, I'm off to play more guitar. Cheers people.
Btw, the tone is the same as my other JCM900 videos and the recording setup is the same. I'm using a Backbeat drum sample, and all the VST effects are my normal setups.
