The first accumulating snowfall of the season in west Michigan came in with style. Huge flake clumps, coming down at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour in the heaviest squalls. At times visibility dropped to less than a 1/2 mile! This lake effect snow squall intercept will likely be the first of many this winter season! Winter storm chasing/snow chasing like this is exclusive to the great lakes region. Awesome stuff! This video was recorded through areas of Kent City, MI and Sparta, MI.
