In this song, Vaishnava saint Radha-Mohana dasa prays for the mercy of Sri Gauranga, the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His energy combined into one form. Sri Radha is love personified, pure spiritual energy, and Sri Krishna is the object of Her spiritual love. Lord Gauranga incarnated on this earth to preach the Holy Name and inspire love of God. He has taken the mood of Radha in Her love for Krishna and appears with the same golden coloring. He appeared 500 years ago as a saint in India, giving mercy to everyone indiscriminately.
