I am also new to riding about 3 weeks now on a 250 ninja. I have noticed that even the Harley riders around my area will wave to me, i have maybe passed two of twenty that didn't wave. This is one thing that I like best.. having the pact sort of feeling is thrilling to me. Thanks M13... you've inspired me to start riding!! :-)

I ride a Harley and I wave to all motorcycles, other Harley's or sportbikes.

Not scooters though, I believe other Harley riders would beat my ass if I did that :P

I've seen very very little distaste between sport bike and harley riders around my area. We all wave to each other. You might not see us riding together but we'll wave to each other just like its another bike, regardless of what type. I can't remember anyone waving full on like you do at the beginning though...

I live in eastern MN and ride around a 100 mile loop around lake Pepin and Harley riders give me the two finger wave its just a common place wave around here.
