Yeah, it's because there are so many countries of different languages so close together, so we are more likely to learn their languages than a place like America, which is geographically isolated from countries that speak other languages (except Spanish-speaking countries).

Thanks KooKas2oo8. Yes, I am here in the Netherlands now and the words you stated are simlar to the Dutch. At lest that's what I remember. Thank you! Most Europeans knew a few languages, including pretty good English. It's amazing!
