Rupert Giles - Slipped Away (S8)

Please read:
I don't exactly read the comics though I like to follow on what happens in them every now and then (I'm a spoiler-junkie lol) so forgive me if it doesn't seem all that correct.
*Spoiler*
We focus on Buffy after Giles' murder, and eventually on her breaking the Seed.
(I understand the Restfield Cemetary doesn't exist anymore so just ignore the name/sign) :D

Thnx 4 making this vid. The character of Giles deserves to be mourned. what would buffy have been without Giles (as played by ASH)? I want 2 be into the comics, but i miss the actors and the way they brought the characters to life. if giles has 2 die, I wish we could see Tony Head play it.

@Pookietoots23 I agree, I've tried getting into the comics (bought first 4 issues = $80?!!) but it was hard to follow with just pictures.. without voices, actions, music or 'seeing' the brilliant acting..

I would sincerely be in a state of shock to see ASH get killed as Giles on tv. I just would not cope :P We've already seen Buffy suffer so much...

I AM SO GLAD JOSS NEVER KILLED OFF GILES IN THE TV SERIES! i wouldve been so pissed and upset with him!! i already had to see Anthony Heads Character DIE IS REPO GENETIC OPERA AND MERLIN!! would hate to see it in Buffy aswell, i dont follow the comics but i heard about giles....to me giles still lives on as he did in the end of the series...:P

@TheZanessafreak365 OMG UTHER DIES?!! *slams head on desk* NOOOO!!! (I haven't been up to date lately, lol) Suppose we always saw it coming... :'( Indeed it was already bad enough seeing Nathan sing so beautifully before dying in Repo. Sniffle!

If Giles was ever killed in the show (and THANK GOD he wasn't) I'm certain Anthony would make it his most memorable moment in acting :') He truly is a dedicated and passionate actor.

Thank you so much for this - so incredibly well done. The comics don't give me the closure I need for this great character's shocking death, and your outstanding vid has really filled an emotional void for me.

@Unlimited517 LMAOOO im sorry i spoiled it for you! it juss happened in the 3rd ep of series four in the uk, i download it though lolz cuz its not coming to the us until Jan, but it was sooo sad :(((( i couldnt even watch it !! i had to look away! and Ikr!! i love the Repo genetic opera but i hate that he dies!! :( and he never found out he wasn't the one who really killed his wife! >.< and yeah anthony head is amazing!! lolz

Even though I don't follow the comics or care about them in any way, I really enjoyed this. This was really well done. It almost makes me hope Joss had killed Giles in the show (okay, not really, I would've wanted to punch Joss) because then it might have had some genuine impact on me. You showed how it could have been and let me tell you, I would've been gutted if this had actually happened on the show.

I absolutely loved this. Wonderful job! Joss pretty much ruined my year by killing off Giles - grrr! This was a lovely tribute to a great character and how it would affect his very much loved Slayer. Thanks for sharing!

I just keep repeating "the comics are not canon, la la la not listening Joss!" :-)
