  • By the way, the Trygon is useless, one turned up in a game using it's deep strike rule, I just shot it to heck..... 30 quids worth of one dead marine Trygon. Hello Trygon, bye sucker, eat bolter fire.

  • Out of 40 games, I've deep-striked it twice. I always deploy

  • venomthrope is actually not that bad it has 2 wounds and always goes first and wounds on 2+ vs anything

  • But its T4

  • Dude reminds me of Randall from Clerks.. This makes me like it.

  • well, I played monstrous creature smash in the old codex, and while I can't play it as cheaply as I used to, I'm still doing pretty well on it, and in some ways better, because of more versitility. I use either the swarmlord, or a support hive tyrant depending on how I feel, 3 troop tervigons, 2 trygons, 2 carnifexes, and a harpy. So far, only dark eldar have reliably beaten me, so I'm pretty happy with it.

  • i like the old codex nid art better than the new codexies art

  • @dragonstormx true then again both armies are in my opinion and in many other's opinions over powered and kill everything with ease

  • @necromaticwolf

From what I've seen looking at the codexs that game out after the Tyranids, they look like they'd have the most trouble with Blood Angels and Grey Knights, since they're both really strong up close and have weapons that are effective against both small and big Nids, and the latter also having whole squads with Force Weapons.

  • @dragonstormx i know this is a really late reply but to a degree yes but also no an example would be my new necrons got lots of tesla weapons which are great against infantry so if a tyranid player uses lots of infantry in large groups then yes but if they use heavier stuff than no it just varies on your army build from what i've seen though i'd say they're still scary as God knows what

  • Nidzilla works 2 tyranofexes 2 hive tyrants with venom canons 2 tervigons a squad of guants and a trygon

  • I opened the new Codex. Read 'war-gear'. I quit W40K.

  • @SODOM453 check out miniwargaming's beat mat bat reps loads of tyranids and he uses them sometimes. go on the website to find them, most are there :)
