It might be like my simple bell kit, which had certain parts drilled into, like little craters.

Does anyone happen to know how the glass bars appear to get longer linearly as they get lower toned? I thought they should get longer exponentially. Is there a way to trick that? On a wooden marimba, you just carve out the center, but you can't do that on a glass marimba.
