The most dangerous snake in the world is the George W. Bushmaster. It killed more than 100,000 people in Iraq over the past 8 years. Knocked off a few in Afghanistan too.

Humans are the deadliest of them all because we kill animals out of greed, sport and or just because we don't like them.

There is no an exact answer for such controversial topic as a lot of variations exist.LD50 does't take the snake temperament,fangs effectiveness,venom yield,venom effects on humans,etc into account.Generally,king cobra,black mamba,carpet viper,coastal taipan,eastern brown,lancehead,several Najas etc are regarded as highly dangerous when encounter due to several factors.K.cobra and b.mamba cause a rapid death and high mortality rate.Russell's and carpet cause the most deaths.

@tpp969 Sometimes the truth hurts doesn't it? Everything I said was true...If you look at the ld50 for mice australia has the top 3 ( number 4 and 5 are Asian) and then 6 out of top 10...For humans Australia would be lucky to have 1 or 2
