Marines with 3rd Battalion, 24 Marine Regiment held a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program demonstration at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis during Marine Week, June 22. Marine Week provides an opportunity to increase public awareness of the Marine Corps' value to our nation's defense and to preserve and mature the Corps' relationship with the American people.

  • @ssgtjkey27 5 ''war'' deployments didnt teach you that the word ''Marine'' its always capitalized... Unsat... On another note, I wouldnt recommend you to try that ''come along'' technique on a ''big bad biker'' that is SOBER!, otherwise you will find out what I was trying to prevent you from happening... (unless you carry a weapon at all times which you dont) PEOPLE DO NOT ATTEMPT THESE TECHNIQUES IN THE REAL WORLD 99.9% DONT WORK! I am a Marine by the way and a Black Belt Instructor SEMPER FI!

  • bad gun disarm technique...

  • I'm pretty sure these are just for show. An experienced instructor knows that a technique like that wouldn't work.

  • Yeah, that hand's gonna be suckin' if the weapon discharged as he grabbed the receiver.

  • "Please, oh no, don't shoot.." -disarms with no sweat- "Drop your weapon!"

I thought that was kinda funny. Keep up the good work, Marines!

  • Good for recruiting new guys but unrealistic when dealing with an armed opponent....

  • Brown belt, oh yes.

  • The gun disarm would never work against someone who really intends to shoot you.

  • Every one of those kids bought MGS3 afterward.

  • This is why an experienced and knowledgeable thief always demands you toss or slide your belongings over to him/her. He or she would not dare take such a risk at being so close to the target.

  • No no sir Ive got a wife and kids BAM
