Yeah, you're probably right. Same thing with the weapons and all being like they were in the 50s or so. Kinda cool, though, now that I think about it. Most games and movies and the like have almost forgotten about the roots of all those alien movies...

I think it's intentional. What with the death rays and the shrill sound of some of the weapons, I think they're going for a 50s feel; kinda like Mars Attacks! and all the other classic martian invasion movies Mars Attacks! is based on.

The aliens... are my only real problem with this game that I can see. Just a bit too unoriginal in their design... I mean, where else have I seen aliens in strange space suits with force fields that have overly large exposed brains that are heart-ish shaped? Other than that, though it looks fine.
