So, one time, me and my buddy Keith took a raccoon home, the animal took instant dislike to him - scratches over 90% of his body. His doctor called up, like, other doctors to look at him cause they'd never seen scratches on top of existing scratches.

Not only are you doing yourself harm by keeping that animal as a pet, you're also harming the animal without meaning to. Raccoons one of the most common rabies vector species. Rabies is fatal and easily contracted. You are also imprinting the animal and sentencing him to a life of confusion and distress. Here's a link to a website where you can search for a wildlife rehabilitator. I highly recommend that you speak with one and get yourself to a doctor.
