You're lucky, to have seen them - I'd love to see them here in the States. =] Beautiful!

Thanks for the comment. That's a good point about awarness. Nice one catching the July 2nd display. Hoping for clear skies soon for more NLCs!

Nice video, the more people who see these videoes, the more they will want to see them themselves so will increase the amount of visual observations which is good! we got a nice display over southern England on the morning of July 02, hope we get to see more soon, clear skies!

@asteroid42531mckenna
Why they appear at dawn in summer?
Do you know that reason?
tooolest32 1 year ago
@tooolest32 They can appear at any time during the summer night when the sun is 6-16 degrees below the horizon. The Mesosphere is colder in the Summer so ice crystals can form around cosmic dust particles and fall into the lower mesosphere at 82km high when observers can see them.

thanks, I'm not to good at identifying what form types are visible, what type of NLC would you say my NLC vid shows?

Hi Jay Jay, that's a great NLC video!. Must be at least a type 4 brightness with type IIb bands with shadows and what looks like possible herringbone structure to the right. Quite a beauty!
